Chevrolet has caught the attention of many with its new startup feature.

Content creator @chevycolorado25 reveals the cinematic new startup screen for the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado. Yes, it feels like a movie studio introduction before a film starts.

The post has gone viral, generating 5.4 million views as of this writing.

Do Chevrolet Colorados Have the Best Start Screen?

The Chevrolet Colorado is certainly making a strong case to be considered as having one of the best start screens in the game. It feels like a Warner Bros., Marvel, or MGM film is about to start with the epic intro.

When firing up the Chevy Colorado, a seven-second animated film is played smoothly across the dashboard. The clean reformation of the Chevy logo appears on the infotainment system and driver dashboard seamlessly.

The infotainment system definitely catches attention with an 11.3″ diagonal advanced color LCD display. With Google Built-In, all Google apps can be accessed seamlessly, keeping drivers’ phones in their pockets. Multi-touch capability makes the dashboard feel like a smartphone is being used. The system goes beyond just entertainment and features fine-tuned comfort preferences, built-in voice recognition, and an intuitive interface for driving.

Chevrolet didn’t just stop there with the advanced technology. According to DePaula Chevrolet, the new Colorado is jammed with new tech features. These features include a wireless phone charging pad, a Bose speaker sound system, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, remote start, and keyless entry.

Which Car Infotainment Systems Are the Best?

Chevrolet is making a strong case for having one of the best infotainment systems in the game with the movie intro start-up. However, there is some strong competition, and commenters put a few names into the race.

“I work as a valet driver and brooo from all the cars I have drove the Mercedes GLE 63 AMG is crazy when you turn on the car. All the subwoofers go crazy,” one TikTok commenter said.

Car enthusiasts on Reddit added BMW’s iDrive 8.5, Teslas, and anything with Apple CarPlay.

According to Kelley Blue Book (KBB), these car brands have the best infotainment screens and operating systems.

MBUX: Mercedes-Benz
iDrive 8.5: BMW
Tesla
Lucid UX: Lucid
ccNC: Kia and Hyundai
Ford Digital Experience: Ford and Lincoln
Uconnect 5: Ram, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, and Alfa Romeo
CUE: Cadillac and Chevrolet

Viewers Aren’t Buying It

Chevrolet’s social media team hyped up the car’s intro and commented on the viral post, “Warner bros who?”

However, while the elaborate start screen is visually pleasing, not all commenters were entertained. To them, the feature is a distraction from the fact that Chevrolet has had recalls and transmission issues recently.

“Maybe they should spend more money on their transmissions,” one TikTok commenter said.

“It hides the electrical failures,” a second commenter replied.

“Chevy engineer here, if I’m honest we did this so you have something cool to do when your 6.2 locks up,” one viewer admitted.

“Gotta have something to look at while you are on the side of the road waiting on a tow truck,” another replied.

“This will soon start glitching and lagging,” a further predicted.

Several Chevrolet cars, trucks, and SUVs have been subject to recalls over the past five years, KBB reports. These recalls included issues with the engine, transmission, brakes, and faulty airbags, to name a few.

Motor1 has contacted @chevycolorado25 via TikTok direct message. This story will be updated if they reply.

Update July 11 9:50am ET: In a message to Motor1, the TikToker said, “The startup screen only plays when you close the door after getting in the car, before the engine starts. If you are in a hurry you can just start the car and it stops the animation.”
